NAD+ INFUSION

IV THERAPY

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is found in every living cell, and serves as an essential helper to allow our body’s enzymes to work more efficiently in necessary bodily reactions.

The problem is that as we age, we see a gradual decline in cellular NAD+ levels. This decline in NAD+ has been linked to numerous age-associated diseases, including (e.g., cognitive decline, cancer, auto-immune conditions, age-related loss of muscle mass and strength, and osteoporosis).

What does NAD+ help with?

• Help cells replicate, repair and protect them from damage, which can lead to certain neurological disorders, cancer, and autoimmune conditions
• Enhance the production of certain neurotransmitters, thus improving memory, concentration and mood
• Help with Detoxification – removing waste in the body, especially the brain
• Increases NO (Nitric oxide) production – which may help improve blood flow to the heart and brain and assist in lowering blood pressure
• Improve insulin resistance and help regulate glucose levels, thus helping to prevent diabetes or the progression of diabetes
Is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent
• NAD+ has important neuroprotective functions (i.e., Alzheimer’s and Dementia)
• NAD+ has been shown to boost metabolism and may help with increased weight loss
• Assists in overall Mitochondria function, which helps repair the body the body and cell turnover

What are the different ways to raise NAD+ levels?

Intravenous Infusion

Initially, patients are typically infused with 5 infusions over a 2-4 week period to help establish a good baseline level. This is the gold standard in raising levels as you are obtaining 100% absorption through an IV.

Oral Supplementation

Both Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) are precursors to NAD+. Both are necessary to create NAD+ within the body, but there are 2 issues here…
First, how much will a person absorb, especially if they have poor gut health. Second, there isn’t really any great data to support oral supplementation can substantially elevate NAD+ levels.

What makes NAD Therapy different at LVW?

What makes our IV NAD+ therapy different here at LVWellness?
A lot of infusion centers and drip spas tend to severely underdose patients, where patients are left wasting their money awaiting results.
Starting dosages for NAD+ should begin at 500mg per infusion, while most offices are offering discounted NAD+ drips, which are only around 250mg.

We customize each infusion to our patients history and deficiencies. We try to look at all deficiencies by measuring micronutrient levels (i.e., measures 31 vitamins, minerals, amino/fatty acids, antioxidants, and metabolites).

This is where our LVWell Cocktail push assists in replenishing your body with all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to help your cells repair themselves quicker and replenish the nutrients necessary to achieve optimal results from your NAD+ infusion.

NAD+ infusions should always be accompanied with an infusion of b-vitamins, vitamin C, amino acids, minerals, and glutathione, which will help assist in cellular repair and replenish the body during an infusion.

FAQ

Sessions can last anywhere from 2-3 hours as it is typically slowly infused to allow a more comfortable experience.

During the infusion, NAD+ can sometimes cause side effects such as: nausea, brain fog, abdominal cramping, and muscle fatigue. However, these can often be relieved through slowing the IV infusion down.

Reduced fatigue/higher energy levels
Sharper memory/overall mind function
Pain/inflammation relief
Improved Metabolism
Improved moods
Faster recovery from injury/exercise
Elevated endurance/improved physical performance
Feeling of youthfulness
