Hair Restoration with PRP
PRP therapy is used in hair restoration for natural looking results. PRP is Platelet-Rich Plasma – you may ask how we obtain your PRP? Before your treatment begins, we draw your blood, from the blood we draw, we are able to separate your blood from your PRP. The Platelet-Rich Plasma is then injected into the scalp with a thin needle. Our blood plasma (PRP) contains active growth factors which promotes hair growth. Helping to restore one’s confidence, the end result is a fuller, healthier looking head of hair.
PRP Hair Restoration is suitable for both men and women. It is a state of the art, non surgical, totally natural, alternative medical procedure used for the treatment of hair loss or hair thinning.
Advantages of PRP Therapy against Hair Loss are:
- Simple, non surgical procedure
- Multiple Injections: procedure lasting approximately 60 min
- Safe and reliable results
- Very quick recovery period
- Beautiful and above all extremely natural looking end results
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma, also known as PRP. PRP is a high concentration of your own platelets in a small volume of plasma. Your PRP is obtained during a blood draw at our office.
How many treatments should I receive?
This will be determined during your complimentary consultation. It typically is recommended a minimum of 3-4 treatments.
Does it hurt?
When injecting PRP into the scalp, it is less likely to cause a stinging or burning sensation. There may be some temporary discomfort or possible redness and inflammation at the application site, but quickly resolves.
When should I start seeing results?
After your 2nd treatment, you will begin to see less shedding. PRP stimulates hair growth but the results take time. Thereafter the hair growth will continue. You will see significant growth beginning at 6 months and continuing thereafter. Sometimes people see a difference in as little as 8 weeks.
Is PRP safe?
Since the autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is produced from a patient’s own blood, there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection.
Who is a good candidate?
