Candidates for lip fillers are in good health and over 21 years of age. Lip fillers are not for those who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding. Those who have active outbreaks or infections should postpone their injections until their skin has healed.

Dr. Hogan will use a delicate needle to inject Juvéderm in a series of strategic locations to carefully sculpt and accentuate your lips. His cautious and gradual approach ensures that your results are subtle and sexy, and without that “done” look. Within no time, you’ll be on your way and able to get back to your day, although it’s generally advised to avoid any strenuous activity or exercise for the next 24 hours.

Juvéderm lip filler is a series of quick injections, so there’s little preparation required. Avoiding blood-thinning medication and alcohol the day before and after your injections will eliminate the possibility of unnecessary bleeding or bruising. Be gentle to your skin before and after your appointment to minimize the risk of irritation. Discontinue retinols and strong acids about a week prior to your appointment.
