The ELDOA consists of postural exercises that target specific joints and work to create space and flow, relieve pain, and restore function and balance.

Sports, work, and daily life are all stressors to the physical body. Every day each one of us gets up and performs tasks specific to our life that increase physiological load (stress) on our entire system. If we are healthy minded people we turn to things like exercise, meditation, and healthy lifestyle choices to alleviate this discomfort and stress. But what if the movements that we are doing are actually accentuating the issue causing further physical pain and actually contributing to the deterioration of our health.

Poor movement as well as non movement allows for negative postural adaptations that lead to pain, weakness, tension and instability. An unfortunate truth is that somewhere along the way in the vastness of our lives and amidst the chaos of school, work, sports, raising children etc…most of us forgot how to move. Everyone of us deserve a healthy supple moving body.

If you currently have any restrictions or pain we recommend receiving our Kinesics Evaluation before taking class. This will allow us to provide you with a baseline and customized stretches that are specific to you and what your body needs.


Each class is 60 minutes in length and will entail the following

  • Thermogenic and articular warm up
  • Awareness drills and activation exercises
  • Abdominal, gluteal and axial strengthening
  • Stretching of the Fascia
  • Global strengthening and normalization of the posture
  • Specific strengthening and decompression of the spine
  • Cool down

The ELDOAs are postural exercises with the primary goal being to increase the space within a chosen joint or articulation. As  “create” space, there is an improvement in joint mechanics, increased blood flow, reduced pressure on the discs, a reduction of pain, spinal disc rehydration, better muscle tone, improved posture, and a sense of wellbeing and awareness.

The human spine is a complicated and vital structure. Compression and articular blocks can cause pain, arthritis and neurological conditions. Having worked with many athletes who have practiced for hours every day striving for that extra edge and that extra bit of strength or skill to achieve peak performance, I can tell you that the number one piece they are missing is a recovery-based exercise.

The ELDOA postures open all the tissues that are closed and compressed all day as we fight against the effects of gravity, as well as the negative effects our chosen sport has on our body. Athletes who are at the top of their game understand that sport and recovery exist on a spectrum that must be balanced. For example, a good football player knows that he must practice the sport to be the best. However, if he made a choice not to sleep and allow his body to recover, he would only get worse no matter how much football he played.

ELDOA is an amazing tool for athletes because it allows for rehydration and oxygenation of ALL tissues. It incorporates breath, strength, stretching, and fascial movements to allow the body to recover maximally, and ALL competitive athletes who care about their performance should be doing it.

Working Professionals and Students

People today are in more pain from just living their lives than ever before. The destruction of our spine and posture is largely the fault of the requirements of everyday work life. Because we live in a forward-facing world, the repetitive use of computers, TV, smartphones, tablets, and even backpacks have forced the body to adapt to a posture that doesn’t suit health but instead suits sitting and sedation. This causes us to develop the forward-head posture or “text neck” that we see so often lately. It also contributes to rounded shoulders and compressed airways that don’t allow for proper breathing mechanics. All of this results in a lack of quality of sleep, and the cycle continues.

The bottom line is that as a society, we are structurally unhealthy, but there is something that can be done! Enter ELDOA. Aging Spines and Joints

We all wish we could reverse time and make better decisions regarding our health and well-being. We have become a product of our physical environments. Luckily, we offer the tools to reverse the signs and effects of aging on our joints.

Fighting gravity and the effects of inactivity is a lifelong endeavor. Pre and Post Surgical Patients

If we were to gather a simple, random sample of middle-aged people (45 yrs. average age) whom have NEVER had back pain before and shoot MRIs of all of them, here’s what we would find:

o    38% would have disc bulges

o    37% would have disc protrusions (aka: contained herniations)

o    11% would have disc extrusions (aka: non-contained herniations)

o    4% would have nerve route compression by disc herniation

Some statistics of Low Back Pain and how it could be related to degenerative disc disease and herniated discs:
